If you’ve been following me for a while then you already know about my love affair with the New Zealand based cosmetics company Living Nature. It all started back when I had barely started up YBJ and I won a bottle of Living Nature’s Radiance Night Oil (<– click link to read my review of it) from a fellow beauty blogger’s giveaway. I fell deeply, madly head over heals for this product. It meets all of its claims and then some! I highly 
recommend reading my post on it but here’s a reminder of its promises: “The luxurious formula is scientifically proven to stimulate structural skin cells up to 43% in 72 hours to increase the production of collagen and elastin. It also inhibits environmental damage to prevent premature aging. Skin is soothed, moisturized and softened for with a blend of regenerating rosehip, soothing calendula and antioxidant-rich vitamins A and E. I was so blessed that Living Nature not only loved my review but that they also wanted to start working with me. They’ve always so kindly replenished my Night Oil as needed and are always on board for giveaways whenever I ask. When they surprised me this month by informing me that they also make cosmetics, I about lost my mind! As you all know, I’ve been on a year-long hunt for GOOD quality organic and/or all natural cosmetics products and have had a little luck here and there, but nothing every mind-blowing. The products they sent me are high-quality, natural and SO SO WONDERFUL!!
The Soft Lights Illuminating Foundation is like a dream come true. This is NOT a full-coverage foundation by any means but if you are like me and use more sheer foundations and bb creams by day, you will LOVE this. ILLUMINATING is really the key word. It makes my face look super radiant and fresh with a slight shimmer of pearlesence. I apply it with a beauty blender sponge over a good primer and voila! Beauty. I do like full coverage foundations sometimes (at night and when it’s “that time of the month” and my hormones are raging) so all I do is put two pumps of this on my hand, followed by two pumps of my favorite full coverage foundation (Maybelline’s Dream Liquid Mousse), mix the two, then pat on with my sponge. The most flawless I’ve ever looked. From their website: “WINNER: ‘Best Skin Perfector’, 2013 Natural Health Magazine Beauty Awards, Jamie Lee Grace Awards 2011 Best Natural Foundation A wonderful light foundation tint in a medium shade, with a gentle shimmer or pearlesence. Gives your complexion a soft radiance and minimises the appearance of fine lines. Manuka Honey and natural oils give nourishment, and pure minerals provide the soft healthy glow.” I am seriously, honest to God in love with this! They have full coverage foundations too which I’m hoping to try next. If it’s equal to or better than my favorite Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse then I’m switching! The more organic and natural cosmetics I can switch over to the better. With our skin being our largest organ we really need to be more conscientious of what we are putting on it. Chemicals seep in and chemicals cause disease. Food for thought. I will report back! ;)
They also sent along a gorgeous new lipstick which I love for more than one reason. One is it’s obvious beauty (see the swatch on the photo of my hand above). Second is how creamy, luscious, and long-wearing it is. Third is that it’s all natural and lead-free. Fourth – last but NOT least, this particular lipstick, “Precious by Lorraine Downes” is a new natural pinkish-nude lipstick specially launched in support of Breast Cancer Network NZ by Lorraine Downes, New Zealand’s only ever Miss Universe! “Precious” joins nine other shades from nature to expand the already fabulous Living Nature color palette. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it hits home for me this year. Sadly, I just found out that a friend of mine (co-founder of Fashion Lab LA who YBJ has partnered with on many occasions) was just diagnosed last week with stage 4 breast cancer. Please pray for her and support cancer research! The more awareness and research there is to rid the world of this wretched disease the better. I will always be inclined to spend my hard-earned money on beauty products whose proceeds help find a cure. :)

They also sent along an “Ultra Nourishing Face Mask” which I’ve yet to try, but if it’s anything like their other products I’ve used so far, you can count on a review of it in the near future…and hopefully a Living Nature Giveaway sometime soon??
